A good Quarter Final Mytchett win against a Hindhead team that didn’t stop playing with the score showing a more emphatic victory than the game really was.
Mytchett were soon 1-0 up thanks to a penalty award after the opposition goalkeeper fouled Tom Dutoit and this was converted by Ryan Lunn.
More attacking pressure from Mytchett and Dan Cranstone put us 2-0 up with a header after 13 minutes.
The visitors came back into the game on 25 minutes with a 24 yard shot that dipped just under the crossbar.
This motivated Hindhead and but Mytchett held firm and were 2-1 up at half time.
The second half started with end to end football and attack after attack by both teams and in the 63rd minute Dan Cranstone looked to have put the game to bed with another header and Mytchett were 3-1 up.
Unfortunately within a minute Hindhead had made it 3-2 after a communication error at the back between defence and keeper.
Tim Manson finally put the tie beyond Hindheads reach with a thunderbolt of a shot on 72 minutes and Ryan Bell completed the scoring with an 80th minute goal.
Roll on the semi-finals.
